hmm... this entry is coming kinda late. Meaning to write this since 9th March. That's of cos about my BIG day! The day when i turn 20...
It is kind of a big excitement. Afterall, it is a big jump from 1+ to 2+.
The eve of my birthday was so exciting. haha... Shuhui ask me to meet her earlier before lecture, somemore it is at yih. So i thought something is up. Then, Xiuli said something very cryptic, abt meeting before 11 is too early when we already agree it will be before 12. Well, i got to yih...n Surprise! Meiling, Xiuli and Shuhui were waiting for me with my birthday cake and presents! Thanks the three of you for throwing this surprise party. Really enjoyed the cake and as Xiuli should know I have been wearing the necklace everyday. :)
Very qiao... that day at yih also saw zhou feng. He helped us took the photo. haiz... i forgot to ask him for the photo we took together at prom. :( hmm... and Xiuli, i want the birthday photos!
This year celebrated my birthday 4 times. When i got home, my mum was waiting for me at the mrt station. We went to choose the cake together. Then at night, we celebrated my birthday again. My sis bought a whole lot of presents, the pot of birthday bean, a Winnie the Pooh jigsaw, a new handphone pouch and a MP3 player! Very nice and generous of my sis hor. Love her!!!
The third celebration muz be mention together with my bazaar stall. From 10 to 12th march, we had a fundraising stall at Arts forum, selling cookies, ice cream and stuff donated be NUS lecturers. The first day duty was very sianz. Luckily, Xiuli also manning her USP stall nearby. But guess my fellow committee member not very happy abt this "traitor" since i spend more time at xiuli's stall than my own. :p
The second day was slightly better. It was very funny. When i reached the stall, Chee Shing extended his hand for me to shake. I was very question mark. Why on earth does he want to shake hands? I suddenly remember a story Jie Ying told me... It turns out that he misunderstood that that day was my birthday. Becos due to some strange arrangement of fate, 3 of our com members had bday during the bazaar period and it is consecutive somemore.
That day, we also had to put up the banner at our stall. The guys and Shi Hui very evil. They tricked Yingyan into believing that we are taking shifts to look after the stall that night and made her take the 1st shift. They are so good at crapping and faking that even Michelle and i was starting to doubt. But Ying Yan for some reason was very slow that day. They had actually prepared birthday cards for the 3 bday pple. She forgotten that i was there and ask right in front of me who haven't signed the cards. haha... it spoils a bit of surprise element but i was really touched that they actually put efforts to celebrate our bday.
The best thing was of cos on sat itself, the open house. Early that day, i met Ming Jun and went to the openhouse with her. it was really crowded, could hardly move. Unfortunately, biz at arts was not even half as good. We called for a closing down sale and everything went at $1. Dennis and I were eyeing the 2 bears. They are really cute and cheap (not that i noe what to do with them). Too bad they were sold in the end.
After we close shop, they magicked the cake out of the ice cream box. I was so surprised! I was manning the ice cream all the time, neither did i see them put it in nor did i noice it inside. It was from secret recipe.i heard Shi Hui telling Stanley where secret recipe was, so he could drive there. Guess i a bit sua gu... dinno what secret recipe was until i saw the cake box. Wondering if they put the cake in when Liyan ask mi to fill water bottle.... diao hu li shan? Anyway, really grateful to the comm members for giving me suh a wonderful surprise. The cake was delicious and the card is very nice.
Last but not least, i like to thank Jie Ying and Ming Jun. Sat was a busy day. Make you two wait so long for me for dinner, really paiseh. I love the portrait Ming Jun draw for me. It looks very like me. (maybe becos i look chioer also ;)) hmm... not to forget wanjun, swee kiat, huifen, tina, seow chun and maybe more that i forgot.
